A Kentucky man fled gunfire after allegedly meeting with a 13-year-old girl for sex, but he is now facing felony rape charges.
Parker Kramer, 20, was apprehended by police after fleeing the Florence home where he had allegedly met a 13-year-old girl for sex. According to a press release from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to reports of shots fired in the neighborhood after midnight on Monday. The caller was the man who fired the shots—and the girl’s father.
According to the sheriff’s office, the father, who was not identified in the release, informed dispatchers that he heard noises coming from his daughter’s room in the middle of the night. When he looked inside the girl’s room, he discovered “an adult man lying naked on her bedroom floor,” later identified as Kramer.
The father informed Kramer that he was calling the police and left the room to retrieve his handgun. Kramer then fled the home on foot as his enraged father “fired three shots into the ground” near the front porch.
When police arrived, they discovered Kramer’s unoccupied vehicle and looked up its registration on the spot. Police identified Kramer as the car’s owner, and the father recognized him from his driver’s license photo as the man in his daughter’s bedroom.
As more officers arrived to assist with the search for Kramer, including those from the Florence Police Department, an aerial drone was deployed. Kramer was discovered by the drone and apprehended at 2:34 a.m., according to the sheriff’s office.
During an interview with a detective, Kramer allegedly admitted to driving from Louisville to Florence to meet the girl for sex. Kramer was initially charged with burglary but was later charged with two counts of rape and one count of sodomy. He was booked into the Boone County Jail on $250,000 bond. He remains in custody and faces a preliminary hearing on May 5.
