LEWISBURG – The Lewisburg Walmart Supercenter reopened Friday morning at 6 a.m., following a comprehensive renovation aimed at improving the shopping experience for locals.
The store, located at 1976 Jefferson Street North, has been significantly upgraded, including improved lighting, updated signage, and expanded departments. The renovations are part of Walmart’s broader initiative to remodel over 650 stores nationwide this year, which was announced earlier in 2024.
To mark the reopening, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held outside the store, attended by local officials, community leaders, the local marching band, and Walmart representatives.
The renovations have resulted in several improvements to the store. The grocery section has been reorganized to improve flow, and the electronics department now offers a larger selection of products.
Furthermore, the pharmacy has been relocated to a more accessible location, and the deli section has been redesigned to provide a wider range of fresh foods.
Walmart has also introduced new services to help customers shop more efficiently, such as a self-checkout area and a customer service kiosk. These upgrades are intended to provide customers with a more efficient and enjoyable shopping experience.
Walmart donated money to the Lewisburg Food Bank, the Greenbrier County Humane Society, and the Lewisburg Police Department as part of its reopening celebrations. These donations demonstrate Walmart’s ongoing commitment to supporting local organizations and initiatives.
The Lewisburg Walmart Supercenter is now open every day from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., providing a diverse range of products and services to meet the needs of the community. Customers can expect ongoing improvements as Walmart strives to provide an exceptional shopping experience.
