Charleston, West Virginia (WTRF) — West Virginia’s senior United States Senator is responding to President Trump’s executive order aimed at restoring American energy dominance through the revitalization of the coal industry.
With the current taxes on foreign goods, particularly those from China, how will this affect significant coal producers like West Virginia?

There is a concern from our coal exporters that coal is on a vessel manufactured and owned by the Chinese, and the president says that’s problematic. In order to make that a more, as he says, reciprocal kind of agreement he has said it will add $15 per ton.
