PIPESTEM – Pipestem Resort State Park is celebrating its 55th anniversary in a major manner, with the Homegrown Music Series beginning this Friday.
Pipestem Resort State Park first welcomed visitors in 1970 and has since been a local institution, attracting visitors from all over the state and beyond to enjoy the park’s picturesque views and natural splendor.
To commemorate the park’s 55th anniversary, 55 musicians will perform throughout the summer as part of the Pipestem Homegrown Music Series.
Pipestem Resort State Park Activities Coordinator Scott Hill told 59News that the Homegrown Music Series was born out of a desire to provide parkgoers with something unique in addition to the typical facilities Pipestem offers.
“This is our 55th anniversary at Pipestem. We opened our doors in 1970 with a lot of pomp, and we will have just as much in 2025,” he says. “We have 55 different shows coming this summer. You can enjoy all of Pipestem’s trademarks, but we are adding a musical component this year to commemorate our 55th anniversary.”
The Homegrown Music Series will begin this Friday with a concert by Bowman & Burr, followed by Acoustic Fusion on Saturday, kicking off what promises to be a very exciting summer at Pipestem Resort State Park.
