Greenbrier County, West Virginia — The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office is actively looking for 52-year-old Jason Roberts of Renick, who is wanted on multiple felony warrants stemming from a March 2025 incident. The charges include grand larceny, breaking and entering, and property destruction.
On Tuesday, May 6, at around 3:30 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a report from an off-duty law enforcement officer who believed they saw Roberts outside a Benedict Lane residence. Before deputies could arrive, Roberts reportedly fled the scene as a passenger in a vehicle.
Deputies eventually found the vehicle on Vago Road, but Roberts had fled on foot into a wooded area. Despite an extensive ground search by Lewisburg Police Department K9 units, Roberts was not found. Authorities suspect he may have received assistance and fled in a second vehicle.
While it is unclear whether Roberts is armed, law enforcement warns that he has been known to carry weapons in the past. The public is asked not to approach him if they see him. Instead, anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 911 or the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office at 304-647-6634. All tips will be kept confidential.
